What we have discovered is that meaningful connection is fundamentally different from traditional networking. It begins not with asking, “What can I get?” but with asking, “How can I create value?”

Our shared superpower is seeing possibilities between people and helping those connections come alive.

Three Live Examples

Turning Connections Into College Scholarships
Adam connected overlooked Utah basketball players with college coaches. Every player from his son’s club team who wanted to play in college ultimately landed a scholarship opportunity.

Giving a $75,000 Order to a Competitor
Adam had the purchase order but knew a competitor could serve the customer better. He gave them the $75,000 job, choosing service over commission.

A Two-Year Quest, Solved Through One Relationship
Johnny spent two years hoping and trying to connect with a personal hero. Then a friend Johnny had generously supported made the introduction, opening a door Johnny couldn’t open himself.

Three Main Takeaways

Connection is deeper than networking. Networking can become transactional. Genuine connection starts with curiosity about people, their gifts, their needs, and where they are going.

Build relational equity. Adam described relationships almost like a bank account. Every time we serve, encourage, introduce, or help someone, we make a relational deposit. Adam has even referred significant business to competitors when he believed they could serve a customer better.

Disconnect from the outcome. This may be the most freeing principle of all. When we stop calculating what every relationship might produce for us, we become free to generously create value.

Calling & Who We Hope to Help

This show is for people who sense there is a better way to build relationships, businesses, careers, and communities.

Adam captured the heart of it beautifully: “You don’t need money, you don’t need power, and you don’t need influence to do it.”

Everyone has something valuable to contribute.

The Vision

You have a thousand keys, but they’re not for your doors. They are for someone else’s doors. And someone else has the keys for your doors.

We imagine a community in which we use our thousand keys to open each other’s doors for exponential progress and impact.

This is a movement of generosity expressed through trust-based connections!

That is what Adam and I hope to explore through this show: how ordinary people can become extraordinary connectors and multiply value throughout their communities.

Matt Tebo | The Constellation Builder

A thoughtful exploration of leadership, creativity, and human connection through the lens of one leader helping CEOs move from isolation to thriving!

Johnny Levy

Welcome! It shows up in leadership, engineering, problem-solving, and relationships.

The moments that shape us most often begin as discomfort, tension, or even loneliness before becoming clarity and purpose.

JOURNEY

Matt Tebo’s story is a compelling blend of artistry, athletics, leadership, and deep human connection. From studying fine arts while competing as a Division I athlete at the University of Colorado to becoming a Market Leader for Vistage, one theme has remained constant: helping people flourish together.

One defining moment came during an NCAA championship race when Matt refused to wait for “next time” and pushed forward immediately. That lesson stayed with him. Action matters now. Relationships matter now. Growth happens now.

Over time, Matt realized many of his struggles came from believing he had to solve everything alone. Eventually, life taught him that the best breakthroughs happen in trusted community. That realization now fuels his work helping CEOs and executive leaders build spaces where vulnerability, challenge, and growth can coexist.

His personal manifesto captures it perfectly:

“When I’m being who I’m meant to be, I bring new, strange, and beautiful ideas into the world for people to bond around.”

CALLING & IDEAL CLIENT

Matt serves CEOs, founders, and executive leaders who often carry the weight of leadership in isolation. Through Vistage peer groups, he helps leaders create trusted spaces where they can think clearly, challenge one another honestly, and grow together.

He believes isolation is fundamentally inhumane and that leaders thrive when surrounded by people who both support and challenge them.

BIG DREAM

Matt dreams of a world where people genuinely care for one another and where leadership creates ripple effects of flourishing throughout families, organizations, and communities.

POWERFUL QUOTES

“When I’m being who I’m meant to be, I bring new, strange, and beautiful ideas into the world for people to bond around.”

“People need to flourish.”

“The good stuff happens when we get out of our own heads and go talk to somebody else.”

“Isolation is inhumane.”

COLLABORATE

https://linkedin.com/in/matt-tebo-59ba5764

https://pages.vistage.com/member-info

JOIN THE COMMUNITY

Discover your unique design and unlock meaningful connection at:

assessment.superpowerquest.com

*I use AI in the production/refinement of some written content. As an Army brat, he experienced constant change, including a formative childhood moment marked by fear and responsibility. That early lesson became a lifelong anchor: don’t let fear dictate action, and don’t hesitate to ask for help.

His professional path took shape through years in banking, where he discovered a passion for community investment. Watching how institutions could support local growth awakened a deeper calling. Over time, his role shifted from executor to visionary, recognizing patterns, guiding strategy, and empowering others to succeed.

Today, Brandon leads with both structure and heart. His journey reflects a steady evolution toward clarity, where faith, experience, and intentionality converge. He continues to grow as a student, writer, and leader, helping others navigate their own entrepreneurial seasons with confidence and purpose.

Calling & Ideal Client

Brandon is called to serve entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and communities seeking growth and alignment. He helps those who feel overwhelmed, isolated, or uncertain about their next step.

Through the SBDC, he provides free, confidential advising and access to experienced mentors. His nonprofit consulting work equips boards to lead effectively, fostering clarity in mission and governance.

At his core, Brandon cares about helping people move forward. He creates environments where individuals feel supported, challenged, and equipped to succeed.

Big Dream

Brandon envisions a future where communities thrive through empowered entrepreneurs and aligned organizations. His upcoming book, The Edison Effect, will guide readers through the seasons of entrepreneurship, offering clarity and encouragement.

He also aims to expand his influence in nonprofit leadership, equipping organizations to operate with greater intentionality, unity, and impact. Ultimately, his dream is to leave a legacy of strengthened communities and leaders who multiply that impact.

Collaborate

Connect with Brandon Eldridge through:

Website: https://www.coloradosbdc.org

LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandon-eldridge

SBDC Colorado Springs: https://www.sbdc.colorado.gov

He actively collaborates with entrepreneurs, nonprofit boards, and community leaders seeking strategic guidance and growth.

Take Action!

I always encourage people to take action instead of just learning information. He builds bridges that move people forward—jobs, ideas, purpose.

Deposits First, Always — His “give before you ask” rhythm is instinctual. No strings, just seeds. And they keep growing.

The Mic Is a Magnet — His podcast is a gateway for curiosity, dignity, and human-to-human connection.

Superpowers Forged in the Fire

Adam didn’t set out to become a connector. He started with an empty bank account, a new sales job in a foreign industry, and kids to feed. He had no product mastery or network—only grit and creativity. So he did what he knew best: serve others. He made it his mission to bring value, one helpful connection at a time.

His first clients weren’t buying products; they were receiving ideas, intros, and honest curiosity. That generosity became his brand.

Connection That Multiplies

Adam is a connection multiplier. “When someone tells me about a product or a need, my brain instantly fires off five names. And I start introducing.” His signature move? The no-strings intro. No expectations. No debt. Just goodwill. “A loan with undisclosed terms is a trap. But a gift? A gift grows.”

Progress Through People

Even now, with a successful consulting business and one of the most respected voices in packaging, Adam’s compass hasn’t changed. He’s not chasing fame; he’s swinging for impact. Whether helping someone land a job or spotlighting a startup on his podcast, the goal is always the same: move people forward through connection.

A Sacred View of People

At the heart of it all is something deeper. “Everyone’s made in the image of God,” Adam says. “Everyone has worth. If I can see it, name it, and connect it to purpose—that’s the win.”

Connect with Adam on Substack

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adampeek/

Start Your Superpower Quest

→ Buy the book
→ Book Johnny to speak

Join the community! In our interview, he mentions “Drive-By Mentors” in his life — people who had a disproportionate impact, compared to the actual time spent.

Bob Burg has been a Drive-By Mentor for me! He is infectiously positive and encouraging, and he exudes wisdom and love.

We had a great 30 minute session, where I got to draw out the story and wisdom of this great man. Soak it in slowly, my friends.

🔑 5 Core Insights from Bob Burg

Bob's message is rooted in experience. He has seen both healthy and toxic sales environments and built his philosophy on what actually works in the long run.

His signature message is simple: focus on creating value (service). The best results come from genuine interest in helping others thrive.

Empathy was born from struggle. The reality of OCD shaped a rare sensitivity and ability to uplift others.

Collaboration unlocks impact. The Go-Giver was created by joining forces with John David Mann, combining clarity with storytelling brilliance.

Encouragement is a calling. Bob doesn’t just teach “others focus”—he lives it in every word, comment, and connection.

💡 The Business Case for an “Others-Focus”

Bob Burg is the best-selling co-author of The Go-Giver, a business parable that has shaped the mindset of millions. The book is a reminder that long-term success comes from shifting your focus from getting to giving. Bob defines giving as creating value—consistently and intentionally—for the people you serve.

This is not theory for him. It’s how he lives. You can feel it the moment he speaks. He encourages everyone around him. He brings clarity and wisdom to professionals. He empowers relational excellence with his presence.

When asked about his Origin Story, Bob recalls “I was very lucky in that I was raised by two wonderful parents.” Parental love was a huge factor in his development.

His posture of generosity didn’t only come from this loving support, but also from adversity. Bob opened up about his lifelong experience of obsessive compulsive disorder. It caused emotional turmoil from a young age, and for years he didn’t know what he was dealing with. The pain gave him a kind of X-ray vision for the hearts of others. He could tell when people were carrying things. That sensitivity became a Superpower. It deepened his empathy and shaped his purpose. This does not minimize the pain of the experience. But in Bob, great pain has given birth to powerful influence for the good of many.

One key turning point came when he was in a sales slump early in his career. An older co-worker pulled him aside and said, “Don’t make money your target. Make serving others your target. The money is the reward.”

That sentence changed everything. It became the foundation of Bob’s work and helped shape The Go-Giver into what it is today.

So many people live in tension between putting their own interests or the interests of others first. Bob’s message offers a way forward. He gives people permission to sell — and act in the world — in a way that honors both their heart and their goals.

Bob, you are a gem. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world!

✨ Want to explore your own unique Superpower?
Join the community:
👉 superpowerquest.substack.com/subscribe
📘 Get the book: The Superpower Quest

Nate Jorgensen | Firestorm Networking | Obnoxious Positivity & Explosive Connections

My friend Nate Jorgensen with Firestorm Networking lights up every room—like a boxer puppy at a barbecue. These interviews showcase Connectors who are pressing into their Superpowers, in order to inspire you in your own Superpower Quest.

🔥 Core Lessons from Nate's Journey:

Obnoxious Positivity is Strategic: Happiness is a choice—and a skill worth mastering.

Backstage Excellence is a Superpower: True leadership often thrives behind the scenes.

Resilience Starts Young: Competitive gymnastics shaped his grit.

Connection is Calling: Nate’s story is a case study in the power of intentional networks.

Serve First, Scale Later: Helping others win leads to explosive growth.

Built for the Backstage

Nate Jorgensen lights up every room—like a boxer puppy at a barbecue. But make no mistake: this guy isn’t just enthusiasm. He’s engineered for impact.

Raised in the grit of Texas gymnastics and the glow of church theater, Nate learned to thrive under pressure and serve from behind the scenes. “The only time people notice the audio guy is when something goes wrong,” he says. His metric? A no-comment scoreboard where he tracked the days of receiving “no comments” as his prime indicator for success.

The Power of Positivity

Nate’s relentless optimism isn’t fluff—it’s furnace-forged resilience. “I'm undefeated all-time against bad days,” he jokes. When challenges hit, he doesn’t flinch. He doubles down. His secret? A simple belief: “Happiness is an intentional choice.”

Even his humor is a coping mechanism—“I can find a joke in anything,” he admits. That levity, paired with loyalty, creates serious strength.

A Network Built on Trust

From 16 years in the wedding DJ industry to leading Firestorm’s B2B networking chapters, Nate became a super connector long before he had the title. His crowning story? Moving an entire military wedding in 48 hours during a wildfire—just by activating his deep web of goodwill.

“Help each other win,” he says. That’s not a motto—it’s a mission.

The Gift He Gives

Now, at Firestorm, Nate’s mission is clear: help people build intentional, strategic networks. Not just to survive—but to thrive. “Your network is probably more powerful than you think,” he says. “The best way to realize that? Be intentional. Give, give, give.”

🧬 Superpower Snapshot: Nate Jorgensen

According to the Superpower Quest framework, Nate’s Core Drive is Progress—he’s hardwired for forward motion, momentum, and wins. His dual Hero Types are Connector and Achiever, which explains everything: the 100-hour DJ weeks, the backstage perfectionism, the wildfire wedding rescue, and his current role growing Firestorm with fierce intentionality.

You can see it everywhere in his story:

Progress: “I'm undefeated all-time against bad days.”

Achiever: “You can’t track what you don’t measure.”

Connector: “I try to make five introductions a day—personal or professional.”

He’s a high-output operator. He’s a relationship-driven rocket booster, engineering progress for everyone he’s connected to.

Let’s Make Moves!

Connect with Nate on LinkedIn: of us—if we’re honest—spend our lives trying to open doors for ourselves. Opportunity, advancement, success, progress. I get it. We feel the weight of our needs, our family’s needs, and our own dreams.

But that’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about the thousands of keys you carry that can open doors for someone else.

And you don’t even know it.

Story Time

The Degrees of Connection Are Insane

I’m seeing it all the time.
I met a kid at a car wash who used to work for a friend of mine.

Another friend of mine met his wife through an employee who knew someone that had gone to his same college and set them up on a date.

We drastically underestimate the million intersecting cords of relationship that give rise to unlikely miracles every day.

I Always Longed for the Benevolent Upperclassman

In high school, I always longed for the benevolent upperclassman.
That older senior who’d throw his arm around me, call me up, invest in me, believe in me.

Never happened for me in that way.

But now—I am that person. We all are.

We have the chance to become the very thing we once wished someone would be for us. To see someone younger, newer, quieter—and make them feel chosen.

To hold out a key.

The Staggering Power of Connection

What happens when we open our eyes to this reality?
What happens when we begin to comprehend the staggering power of connection—and press into it?

This is how:

We give undivided attention to the people in our lives.

We listen with sensitive ears.

We listen for opportunities.

We listen for connections.

We listen for dreams.

Then we take the risk—
The risk to make the connection.
To connect people who don’t know each other.
To do it with a short blurb of context about why they could benefit to each other.

(Refer to my article about the Four Types of Connection.)

If Connection Is Your Kryptonite

Let’s be real.

If you’re someone for whom connection is Kryptonite, or an area of weakness, this might feel awkward, hard, or even draining. That’s okay.

Everyone can learn to improve the art of Connection. Everyone.
But Connectors will always do it more—and often, more naturally.

If you’re not a Connector, don’t try to become one. But do try to stretch a little.

You don’t have to host events or work a room. You just have to be willing to care enough to notice a door ... and hand someone a key.

How to Use Your Thousand Keys

You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You just need to be generous with your keys—
5-minute acts of connection that can open whole new worlds for people.

Here are some specific ways to start right now:

Text two people and say, “You two need to know each other. Y’all should talk.”

Make a habit of asking, “What are you dreaming about right now?” Dreams need doors. Your keys might fit.

When someone shares a challenge, ask: “Want help brainstorming people who could help?” One question. That’s all it takes.

It’s Not Just for Them. It’s for You.

Here’s the secret: connection isn’t just a massive benefit to others; it also has amazing effects for you and your life.

When you make a meaningful connection for someone, it builds your confidence.
It strengthens your connection. It reminds you that your life matters—not just in what you achieve, but in what you unlock for others.

And over time, those keys you gave away?
They come back to you.
In surprising, beautiful ways.

A Thousand Keys. A Thousand People.

You have a thousand keys that could open someone else’s doors.

And there are a thousand people out there with keys to yours.

But we never know—
Because we don’t take the time to know each other.
To know what we dream about.
What we need.
What we long for.

This is how my brain works, but it’s the result of both my native disposition and many years of intentional experience.

Much of it can be learned.

Learn to be in awe.

Learn to see the hidden treasures in others.
Learn to see the beauty of connection.
Learn to appreciate its power.

Be Generous With Your Keys

Look for doors to open for other people.
Take jam.
It’s not just something I do; it’s a part of my innate design. I think about connection all the time. It’s part of my identity, my calling, and my area of joy and effortlessness.

Story Time

All Connections Aren't the Same

Lately, I’ve been watching incredible real-world things unfold through the power of connection. And I’ve realized something: not all connections are the same. There are different kinds of connection, for different outcomes.

After years of doing this work, I’ve come to see that most meaningful progress comes from four distinct types of connection. This framework is for my fellow Connectors to sharpen your Superpower—and for anyone in need of connection to know what to look for.

1. Need / Provider Connection (formerly Resource Connection)

Progress Type: Need → Solution

This is when someone has a clear need—and you connect them with a person, service, or product that meets it.

“You need a graphic designer? I know someone great.”

“Looking for a new payroll system? Here's what worked for us.”

“You’re stuck on email deliverability? Let me introduce you to my tech wizard.”

This type of connection often leads to contracts, purchases, and clear deliverables. It has a transactional element, yes, but it can be powered by trust.

2. Strategic Connection

Progress Type: Mission Alignment → Collaborative Action

Here, you’re connecting two (or more) people or organizations with shared goals who could achieve more by working together.

“You both serve busy parents—maybe you could co-host a webinar series.”

“You’ve got a product, they’ve got an audience. Feels like there’s a campaign waiting to happen.”

“You're both building platforms for freelancers—why not explore a joint toolset?”

Strategic Connections are all about collaboration for shared impact. Not just helping—but building something together.

3. Kindred Connection

Progress Type: Shared Experience → Mutual Encouragement

This one is all heart.

Kindred Connections happen when you introduce people with similar journeys, roles, or values—so they can share wisdom, fuel each other, and not feel alone.

“You’re both solo founders navigating burnout—talking might really help.”

“You're both career-switchers in your 40s—you'll totally get each other.”

“You’re both new moms trying to keep your creative work alive—yes, you need each other.”

This isn’t about business. It’s about belonging—and the courage that comes from being understood.

4. Mentor Connection

Progress Type: Potential → Activation

Sometimes, what someone needs most is a nudge toward their next level—a person, opportunity, or idea that expands their vision.

“You’ve got leadership instincts—talk to this person who’s five steps ahead.”

“This mastermind changed how I think—you’d thrive in it.”

“You remind me of who I was ten years ago—I want to help you skip some of the pain.”

Mentor Connections unlock something. They can ignite explosive forward motion.

Why This Matters

As a Connector, I can say this with confidence: the right connection at the right time can change everything.

This framework is here to help you recognize what kind of connection you’re offering, or needing.
If you're a Connector—use it to sharpen your aim.
If you're searching—use it to find your breakthrough.

👉 Want more tools like this to help you discover your Superpowers and build a life that fits?
Subscribe to the Superpower Quest newsletter at superpowerquest.substack.com

Let’s move from stuck to thriving. in.

What You Get: Strategic mapping, warm introductions, interview spotlights, and access to vetted experts—all curated to drive meaningful growth.

The Result: A steady, compounding pipeline of high-value relationships that move mountains for your business.

What if Steve Jobs had never met Steve Wozniak?

History turns on moments most of us never see. A handshake, a shared laugh, an introduction at the right time—and everything changes. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak met through a mutual friend at Homestead High School. Without that meeting, there is no Apple. No iPhone in your pocket. No revolution in personal computing. Just two brilliant minds, unconnected, their potential dimmed by isolation.

Who was the mutual friend? You probably don’t know his name; I don’t. But he was that spark, behind the scenes, that lit a world-changing inferno. I’m that kind of mutual friend.

This isn’t just their story. Look across history and you’ll see the same pattern:

Some of the world’s most iconic companies and cultural milestones trace back to a single connection: Gates meeting Allen created Microsoft, Page meeting Brin birthed Google, Buffett meeting Munger built Berkshire Hathaway, Lucas meeting Spielberg gave us Indiana Jones, and Chesky meeting Graham transformed Airbnb from a struggling idea into a global force.

Behind every world-changing endeavor is a connection that changes the trajectory. One introduction can move mountains, rewrite destinies, and shift entire industries.

When people talk about “luck,” more often than not, it’s really a story of connection. The magic happens when someone says, “You two need to meet.”

My Superpower is Authentic Connection for Mutual Progress, and I want to use this gift on behalf of people and companies I believe in to create radical impact in the world.

The Superconnector Partnership Offering

The Superconnector Partnership helps leaders build high-value relationships that create opportunity and growth.
